We are glad to invite you to the Venture Capital Forum Argentina, a meeting focused on the Venture Capital business sector. For the first time in Argentina, a new model articulating the private and public sectors will be presented. There will be panels and presentations coordinated by regional experts on both the present and future of Venture Capital and its potential impact on the future of our entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The Buenos Aires City Government, through the “Dirección General de Emprendedores”, teaming up with LAVCA (Latin American Private Equity and Venture Capital Association), Cygnus Capital, and sponsored by Banco Ciudad, will be receiving local and international investors, entrepreneurs and policy makers at the new Government House with the purpose of favoring the growth of the Venture Capital sector as an instrument to encourage the development of the country.

Argentina is globally recognized by its talent and innovation development along with the rise of companies like MercadoLibre, Globant, OLX and Despegar, which have successfully experienced global expansion. Thus, it is important to back this development up with the Venture Capital sector in order to allow the generation of a constant flow of new companies and provide them with support at their early stages. We look forward to creating opportunities that will enable the Argentinean entrepreneurs to have access to funding and better public policies.

The speakers will be globally recognized experts coming from the most important centers of world innovation, such as Cate Ambrose (LAVCA), Andy Tsao (Silicon Valley Bank), Francisco Alvarez Demalde (Riverwood Capital), Eric Acher (Monashees Capital), Nicolas Szekasy (Kaszek Ventures), Humberto Matsuda (Performa Investimentos), Carlos Kokron (Qualcomm), among others.

Registration will be on September 1st from 8:00 to 9:00 am at the new Goverments Civic Center, located on 3160 Uspalllata St., Parque Patricios, Buenos Aires. It is highly recommended to attend with a personal card to speed up the registration process.
